Input sought for potential outdoor rink and sports pad in Port Hope

The Municipality of Port Hope is seeking input from residents regarding a potential new outdoor covered rink and sports pad.

This project is being initiated as one of the priorities of the 2021 Leisure Services Master Plan and as a result of the low-level remediation work to be performed at the Caroline Street rink.

A multi-purpose sports pad is preferred by the Parks, Recreation and Culture Advisory Committee and included as a recommendation in the Leisure Services plan.

Municipal staff are reviewing options for refrigerated and non-refrigerated project considerations along with multi-purpose sport options.

A survey is available at myporthope.ca until May 31 and will assist in the review of potential locations as well as identifying community priorities, to help guide the review of existing site amenities and cost-benefit analysis for future considerations.
