Northumberland Minor Lacrosse season begins July 12

Northumberland Minor Lacrosse is gearing up for a six-week season that will be moved outdoors this year.

Registration is open, but spots are limited in the available divisions for the season which will run from July 12 to Aug. 19. Sessions will be one hour in length. All field time will be scheduled in Baltimore or Cobourg with the exact locations to be announced.

Cam Milligan of Major Series Lacrosse’s Cobourg Kodiaks and the National Lacrosse League’s Rochester Knighthawks will be running Northumberland Minor Lacrosse’s house league program this summer.

Milligan will be on site every day, and for every age group, facilitating the program. He brings a wealth of professional lacrosse experience to the local minor association and will help provide a safe and fun return to lacrosse in Northumberland. Volunteers are still being sought to coach teams.

A player’s spot is not secured until registration is completed and payment is made in full. There are still some free sticks to give away to new registered players.

Meanwhile, days of play and fees have changed: U5 (2017/2018) Thursdays $70; U7 (2015/2016) Mondays $120; U9 (2013/2014) Wednesdays $170; U11 (2011/2012) Thursdays $170; U13 (2009/2010) Monday or Wednesday $170; U15 (2007/2008) Monday or Wednesday $170; and U17 (2005/2006) Monday or Wednesday $170.

Anyone who has already paid will receive a refund of $50.
