The final day of my 17-day straight Olympic audio interview series features a three-time Paralympian and a broadcaster of numerous Olympics and Paralympics who lives in Port Hope…Rob Snoek.
In this interview, our discussion includes Rob having his leg amputated when he was just a year old, his early participation in sports, loving the Olympics but not learning about the Paralympics until much later, the Games he competed at (1992 Barcelona, 1996 Atlanta and 2000 Sydney), how he transitioned you broadcasting, the importance of a strong broadcast partner and why the Paralympics should get more attention.

NOTE: While we wait for local sports to return following the COVID-19 pandemic, a big part of JG Sports Media’s website content will be audio interviews, like this one. Guests will include representatives from local sports organizations as well as other notable guests, many who have ties to this area and even some who don’t.
I love the Olympics and this series will ran from July 24 until today, Aug. 9. This is the time the Games would have been on before they got postponed until 2021.
